Obstetricians and Gynecologists Careers (OB/GYN)
Obstetricians and gynecologists specialize in women's health, especially in relation to the reproductive system and pregnancy. Some focus on diagnosing and treating breast and cervical cancer, pelvic problems and other ailments or illnesses associated with a woman's reproductive system. However, others focus on pregnancy and childbirth, providing prenatal and postpartum care, as well as delivering the child.
The average residency for OB/GYNs is four years, plus two years of supervised clinical practice before becoming fully licensed and certified to practice. The salary range for physicians in this specialization is between $200,000 and $300,000.
